Lead

Density of .409 lbs per cubic inch, lead makes an excellent source of weight. Available in ingot, sow, wire, bar, counterweights, sheet, plate, rod, customs castings.

Zinc

Density of .258 lbs per cubic inch. Slab, bar, plates, anodes, zinc flashing (for roofs), socket metal, custom casting, etc. Special High Grade (SHG) with a minimum purity of 99.99% zinc content is the base for our alloys before alloying.

Babbitt

Lead or lead-free. Leaded babbitt is an alloy of lead, generally with additives of Antimony and Tin. Lead-free babbitts are generally Tin based with additives of Copper and Antimony. Babbitt generally is a lining for bearings that reduces friction. The small quantities of hard metal in a soft matrix of tin or lead create a material strong enough to bear relatively high speeds and loads yet soft enough to embed dirt or other intrusions and not seize up on a spinning shaft in case of lubrication failure. Tin based babbitts can be used at higher temperatures than the lower cost lead alloys and are more forgiving for lack of lubrication.

White Metal

Also called “Britannia Metal” or “White Metal”. Complete line of tin-base and lead-base pewter alloys for rubber mold and spin casting. Used for the making of jewelry, gifts, collectibles, novelty items, figurines, sculpture accessories, awards, and decorations.

Antimony

While antimony is brittle in it’s pure form, it’s an excellent alloy material for other metals. A primary function is hardening of lead and used in the different alloys of babbitts, solders, bullets, batteries, wheel weights, and others. It increases hardening and adds mechanical strength. Antimony is one of the few metals that expands upon solidification and helps fill small areas and corners.

Tin

Known for it’s fluity and low melting temperature, tin is soft and pliable. Used primarily in solders, babbitt metals, pewters, bullet and fusable alloys and tinning in the food industry.

Copper

Copper is a soft, malleable metal with high thermal and electrical conductivity. It’s often used as a conductor for heat and electricity.
